The Man Behind The Medicine

Since 2001, Dr. Gangpei Zhou has been serving the South Florida community as a licensed Acupuncture Physician. Dr. Zhou graduated from Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1985, and became a doctor at the Xiangtan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine In 1995. He went back to school at Hunan University, and then graduated with a Master’s Degree in Medicine. It is this understanding of both Western and Chinese medicine that drew Dr. Zhou to create a practice in his hometown of Xiangtan that employed both medical perspectives. Dr. Zhou, at the height of his success, owning his own hospital in Xiangtan, decided to move to South Florida, in 2001, to bring his successful treatments to America. Once he came to America, he became a Licensed Acupuncture Practitioner, and he began to treat the South Florida community.

Dr. Zhou has created his own medical philosophy based in his 32 years of experience in the field in which he integrates the branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other healing modalities with traditional Western medical intervention to get his patients to their optimal health. Through his knowledge, intuition, and understanding of the body, Dr. Zhou was able to develop a unique platform to rebalance the physical and energetic body while simultaneously restoring the mind, body, and spirit connections.

One of the many things that sets Dr. Zhou apart from other local acupuncture specialists, is that he has developed his own herbal formulas for various specific diseases or ailments that have been proven effective in his regular treatments. Additionally, he has 30 years of practicing Qigong, during which he can connect with the universe to get pure energy. He harnesses this energy to heal many illnesses, especially mental diseases. 

Dr. Zhou’s unique medical experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine, combined with his deep understanding of Western medical theories and practice, allows him to treat a wide variety of conditions. Dr. Zhou has proven success in treating the following conditions: pain, injury, headaches, addiction, weight loss, depression, insomnia, fibromyalgia, and athletic injury and recovery.
